  1. There are three kinds of people:
    1. the average person, who does good for good and evil for evil
    2. the good person, who does good for evil
    3. the evil doer, who does evil for good.
  2. Three things gained by the endurance of the Cailleach:
    1. cleansing
    2. purity
    3. renewal.
  3. Three littles which do much harm:
    1. a little of bad disposition
    2. a little of injustice
    3. a little of negligence
  4. Three things , little of which shows much wisdom:
    1. little conceit
    2. little covetousness
    3. little gossip
  5. Three littles which make great profit at the time:
    1. little of eating and drinking
    2. little of care
    3. little of tongue
  6. Three things to be commended in anyone:
    1. their face proud
    2. their discourse discreet
    3. their ways kind
  7. Three things which make a person wanton:
    1. beauty in their form
    2. folly in their head
    3. conceit in their heart
  8. Three wrongful contentions:
    1. war for war
    2. aw for law
    3. reproach for reproach
  9. Three upright contentions:
    1. prudence for imprudence
    2. favor for disfavor
    3. love for hatred
  10. In three things one will be a wrong doer:
    1. putting a snare in the way
    2. frightening a little child
    3. laughing at wrongs done
  11. There are three falsehoods:
    1. a falsehood of speech
    2. falsehood of silence
    3. falsehood of demeanor
      1. for each one of these will make another believe what they ought not
  12. Three losses which will bring gain in the end:
    1. loss of what is more than life needs
    2. loss of bodily health
    3. loss of what one prizes the most and above all.
  13. Three gains which will turn to loss in the end:
    1. gaining fame for a harmful act
    2. gaining wealth from injustice
    3. gaining the upperhand in an evil strife
