- Hi, I’m Avia Venefica. As a kid, I was always outside, poking sticks at stuff, peeking under slimy rocks, gleeful at discovering some dark treasure (the creepier and crawlier the better). Today, I’m still exploring, but instead of rocks, I’m flipping over every-day-ness to find magic and inspiration hiding beneath common reality. When I’m not tending to the care and feeding of the blog and my other ’sites (www.Whats-Your-Sign.com and www.TarotTeachings.com), I’m involved with any one of the following:
- Meditation
- Motorcycling
- Interpreting Tarot
- Interpreting Dreams
- Interpreting Numbers
- Interpreting Symbols.
- Just to name a few :)

- The Grove of Danu's approach may be called "Celtic Revivalism," by which we intend "Restoration of Tradition where p The founders of the Grove are Canadian descendents of the Gaelic Diaspora, who sought to preserve and promote their Gaelic Diasporan culture. We believe that the Diasporans passed on their cultural heritage to their descendents, but as time passed the cultural practices of the descendants evolved and blended the practices of their culture of origin with those of their newly adopted nations. We also believe that cultural customs and traditions remained alive within certain families in a fragmented condition. Thus, the customs, practices and beliefs of a Canadian Scot or Canadian Irish Diaspora descendent may vary drastically, for instance, from those of an American or Australia Scot or Irish descendant. While we recognize that we are no longer Scottish or Irish, and do not presume to usurp any part of those cultures, we do claim a strong affinity with them as is our birthright as Diaspora descendents.

The practices of the Grove of Danu and its members are similar in many ways to Celtic Revivalism, but there are subtle differences due to regional variation and historical isolation. Some Celtic Revivalists call their practices "An Rian Sinsearach” (The Ancestral Way). We call our way of being An Séan Nóssan (The Old Way) in order to distinguish ourselves from other groups within the larger Celtic Revivalist movement. After much discussion and thought, we felt it was important to distinguish ourselves in such a way that denoted our unique Canadian Gaelic Diasporan identity.

The Lines of the Dragon site is dedicated to my research into that great beyond, those things, ideas & experiences that mystify man. My primary area of study is Celtic mysticism, earth based religions, and eastern concepts such as Zen and ki.

I strive to seek the one truth of mankind; to answer that nameless question. If the answers I uncover can bring one other soul one step closer to answering that question for themselves then this site has served it's purpose.

The Grove Of The Hawk
-
The Grove of the Hawk's approach may be called "Celtic Revivalism," by which we intend "Restoration of Tradition where possible, Reconstruction of Tradition where necessary, and New Creation in a Living Tradition where consistent, within a Celtic Tribal Co-operative." That New Creation is done is not an admission of dissociation from the sources of the Tradition, but rather an assertion of the living aspect of the Tradition. The Aos-Dána are, after all, as "People of the Gift," quite obviously Artists of various media, including Music, Dance, Poetry, and so on.
